Case: Infant Work of Breathing
A 2-month-old male infant presents to the ED with a 3-day history of coryza, cough and increased work of breathing. He is alert but unsettled. Observations: Temp 38.9Β°C, HR 165, RR 60, sats 91% RA, moderate intercostal and subcostal recession, diffuse bilateral crackles and wheeze on auscultation.
