A 34 year old woman presents to the Emergency Department with confusion, vomiting and fever. Her history includes thyroid issues. Her wife is unsure if she has been taking her regular medication. Her vital signs are:

  • BP 157/95 mmHg
  • RR 25 /min
  • Sats 96% RA
  • GCS 13/15 (E3, V4, M6)
BSL 12 Her thyroid function tests return with the following results: TSH <0.01 (0.5 – 5 mU/L) T4 57 (12 – 22 pmol/L) T3 24 (3 – 6 pmol/L)
